Pasko ng Pagiging Hesus Sa Nangagailangan

It's a season of festivities once again! First time ko after four long years to celebrate Christmas and Holidays dito sa Pilipinas. Wala ako sa Pinas, at ako ay nasa Dubai ng nakaraang apat na taon tuwing buwan ng Kapaskuhan.

So its an amazing feeling to spend this season with the people (family and friends) closest to me, and really re-unite with friends I have not seen for so long. Nakakatuwa to reminisce ng aming high school days for example.

Despite all the cheers, laughter, non-stop food and drinks the past week, I have spent the Noche buena with my Lolo at Lola, and cousins together with the rest of the family. Na-mild stroke kasi ang Lola ko, at gusto namin na maging mas masaya siya sa pasko, seeing all her grandchildren. Prayers and hopes for the future were said. Masaya ako dahil hindi naman grabe ang stroke niya, at konting araw pa lang ng kanyang therapy, she is now able to walk and move her hands.

Then on the 25th after church, I visited together with my mom an orphanage home and gave boxes of milk to babies care of Grace to Be Born at Pasig. We got teary -eyed because of how sweet the little kids were, waiting for visitors to actually embrace them despite the fact that they got abandoned by their own mother/parents.

Then I felt the true essence of Christmas. Naramdaman ko na it is my duty to give, sa kahit na papaanong paraan. Presence, smile, loving touch and hug are the most precious gifts we can give to anyone. At sana hindi lang in times of Christmas, but all year round I wished to do that.

Naniniwala ako na when you do actually give, especially if it hurts you, that's when you are blessed and more rewarded.

Meaning, kahit ikakain mo na lang sana, pero ibibigay mo pa sa iba.

It is being a Jesus to others is what makes the true spirit of Christmas meaningful. The Lord, gave his only son through Jesus, because how He love us so much.

And He being born in a dirty little manger is the center of all the festivites, not the fancy clothes and fine dining tables or crystal bowl sets.

2 Corinthians 9:10
Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
